AMBER TECHNOLOGY APPOINTS NEW GENERAL MANAGER FOR MEDIA SYSTEMS

Amber Technology, a leading provider of professional media technology solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Garrick Simeon as the new General Manager of Professional Products and Media Systems, effective July 1, 2024. This strategic appointment underscores the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

Garrick Simeon brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Amber Technology, having previously served with the company from 2000 to 2011 in various capacities, including Marketing Manager for Avid Australia and General Manager of the Video and Audio Post Division. Since 2011, Garrick has held key positions at organisations such as General Dynamics Mediaware, Synergy Group, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and archTIS Software, showcasing his exceptional skills in people management, technical expertise, and strategic vision.

The creation of this newly established role reflects the evolving needs of the industry, particularly in aligning Media Systems and Professional Products to meet the demands of increased project work and client requirements. With Garrick's leadership, Amber Technology aims to further integrate these divisions and capitalise on synergies to deliver enhanced solutions to its customers.

The retirement of Leon Hart, the outgoing General Manager of Professional Products, marks the end of an era after two decades of dedicated service to the business. Leon's leadership has been instrumental in guiding the Professional Products team to achieve significant milestones and establish itself as a leader in the industry. As Leon transitions into retirement, Ross Caston will focus on the role of General Manager for the Defence, Law Enforcement, and Security (DLES) business unit to meet the growing demands of this sector.
